<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce erosion, enable a large number of times of grinding corroded parts and attempt to substantially improve the treating capacity by enlarging the treatment area. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A target liquid is contained in a treatment vessel 9, and ultrasonic waves generated by oscillating the outer periphery 2C of the body of an ultrasonic horn 2 are applied to the liquid in the treatment vessel 9. The ultrasonic horn 2 is held at positions N, N serving as knots of oscillation.
