<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropic light-diffusing element having sufficient light-diffusing characteristics, suppressing generation of iridescent irregularity and capable of using the incident light at high efficiency, and to provide a display using the anisotropic light-diffusing element. <P>SOLUTION: The anisotropic light-diffusing element includes a first rugged pattern provided in the top face side of a light-transmitting substrate and a second rugged pattern provided in the back face side of the substrate, wherein an angle made by the vertex of the first rugged pattern and the vertex of the second rugged pattern ranges from 1 to 60 degrees. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
