<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head capable of maintaining a good state of a foaming liquid to obtain desired ejection by preventing the foaming liquid from being retained near a heater or the foaming liquid in a heated and temperature-raised state from repeatedly going in and out of a foaming chamber. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head has an upstream connection part used as an inlet of the foaming liquid into the foaming chamber, and a downstream connection part used as an outlet of the foaming liquid. More communication ports are provided in the downstream connection part than the upstream connection part, and at least one communication port provided in the downstream connection part is made openable/closable.
