PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure tight large-scaled membrane structure capable of evenly deploying all gores. SOLUTION: A gas bag 2 of a pressure tight balloon is formed by attaching a plurality of gores 3 to each other. In the gas bag 2, of generally circular cross sections orthogonal to attachment surfaces of the plurality of the gores 3, a part having the maximum area is formed in a cylindrical shape over a predetermined range. The cylindrically formed part (a cylinder portion 6) is formed by attaching a plurality of lateral ropes 7 having the generally same length as a circumference of the generally circular cross section having the maximum area, over the predetermined range so as to be orthogonal to the attachment surfaces of the cores 3.
