PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centering device having a simple structure capable of performing centering without receiving restriction in the conveying form of a workpiece. SOLUTION: The centering device is provided with a first grasping member 7 capable of grasping the workpiece W; a cylinder 5 for downwardly operating the first grasping member 7 when the workpiece is grasped and upwardly operating the first grasping member 7 when grasping of the workpiece W is released; a first member 8 arranged in parallel to the first grasping member 7 and integrally operated with the first grasping member 7; a second grasping member 14 facing the first grasping member 7 so as to clamp the workpiece W between itself and the first grasping member 7 and operated in a downward direction or an upward direction based on the downward operation of the first grasping member 7; an abutment member 13 arranged in parallel to the second grasping member 14 and facing the first member 8 so as to be abutted on the first member 8 when the first member 8 is downwardly operated; and a reverse rotation lever 15 capable of transmitting motion of the second grasping member 14 to the abutment member 13 while reversing it and capable of transmitting motion of the abutment member 13 to the second grasping member 14 while reversing it.
