PURPOSE: A hand-held phototherapy device for skin care is provided, which can improve safety when using the hand-held phototherapy device for skin care. CONSTITUTION: A hand-held phototherapy device for skin care includes a main body(110) equipped with a power supply unit and a controller; and a dermatotherapy part(120) connected to the main body. The dermatotherapy part includes a housing equipped with an opening; an optical source section equipped in the inner structure of the housing; a skin contacting part equipped in the housing in opening; a contact sensing sensor sensing the contact with the skin; and a processor controlling operation of the optical source section according to sensing of the contact sensing sensor.
