PURPOSE: Polyethylene terephthalate tire cord and a tire including the same are provided to restrict vibration of a vehicle due to a flat spot phenomenon, and to improve usability of the tire cord with ride comfort. CONSTITUTION: Polyethylene terephthalate tire cord has a flat spot index of 5.0% or less. The flat spot index (%) = (L1-L2) / L0×100. Lo is the initial length of the tire cord. L1 is the length of the tire cord which is cooled in 24°C after maintaining load. L2 is the length of the tire cord which is measured after cooling the tire cord with the load of 0.01g/d after adding the load for 5 minutes.
