At least two thin films whose spectral absorption is in different regions are so arranged that the radiation may be absorbed selectively in one or other of them. Each filter film is carried on a supporting foil of relatively transparent material and covered by a similar layer for further support and/or protection. One or both of the transparent layers is of plastic or paper.
