<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display device having excellent moisture preventing characteristics and preventing performance deterioration for a long time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electrophoretic display device 100 is provided with: an element substrate 2 having a display region; an electrophoretic sheet 3 having an electrophoretic layer 31 on a transparent substrate 30 and stuck to the display region of the element substrate 2; and a multilayer moisture preventing film 50 having a first moisture preventing film 51 formed to cover at least the electrophoretic sheet 3 and an upper part of the element substrate 2 of an outer peripheral part of the electrophoretic sheet 3, and a second moisture preventing film 52 formed to cover the first moisture preventing film 51.
