<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper support capable of further reducing the weight while securing required strength, in regard to an upper support wherein an outer metal fitting includes an upper metal fitting and a lower metal fitting. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The outer metal fitting 20 in the upper support is composed of the vertically mutually superposed upper metal fitting 20-1 and lower metal fitting 20-2. The lower metal fitting 20-2 is made of an aluminum alloy, and has a plurality of fixing parts 64 positioned in the peripheral direction respectively corresponding to an upper bolt hole 56 of the upper metal fitting 20-1 and extending by projecting in the radial direction. A part in the peripheral direction between the fixing part 64 and the fixing part 64 is formed as a space as a whole, and is caulked and fixed to the upper metal fitting 20-1 by a fastening bolt 68 in the fixing part 64.
