LINE BACKUP METHOD, COMMUNICATING SYSTEM, NETWORK DEVICE, AND OPTICAL NETWORK UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line backup method, a communication system, a network device and an optical network unit for ensuring security of a radio line for line backup without requiring any new shared information.

SOLUTION: This line backup method includes: performing communication on a wireless LAN line by encrypting information based on an interface identifier specifying a cable interface 51 of an optical network unit 50 related to a PON (Passive Optical Network) line 40 used as the shared information of the optical network unit 50 and a radio base station 70; and ensuring security by authentication processing when connecting a wireless LAN line.
