FIBER-TREATING AGENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING DYED FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-treating agent capable of imparting a dyed fiber with excellent color fastness to rubbing (especially wet rubbing fastness): and to provide a method for producing a dyed fiber using the fiber-treating agent.

SOLUTION: The fiber-treating agent is used in a treating process of a raw fiber processed with a dye selected from vat dyes and/or sulfur dyes and contains a polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification ratio of≥80%, an aluminum compound and water as essential components. The method for producing a dyed fiber includes a treating process to apply the fiber-treating agent to a raw fiber processed with a dye selected from vat dyes and/or sulfur dyes.
