<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a densely-wound coil having favorable rotation transmission performance, and to provide a medial device using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The densely-wound coil 20 is formed by spirally winding a wire 18 densely along a specific length about a first axis O1. The wire 18 is formed, in its section S perpendicular to a wire axis O2, in such a way that a sectional secondary moment related to a second axis O3 passing the center O2 of the section S and perpendicular to the first axis O1 is smaller than a sectional secondary moment related to a third axis O4 passing the center O2 of the section S, perpendicular to the second axis O3, and parallel to the first axis.
