Provided is a method for efficiently producing 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acid comprising culturing a coryneform bacterium carrying a gene encoding mutated aspartokinase the feedback inhibition of which has been alleviated and having been transformed by a recombinant vector having a DNA integrated therein which encodes a protein having an activity of synthesizing 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acid from dihydroxyacetonephosphoric acid and aspartic acid semialdehyde.
