METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CLEANING FILTER CLOTHS OF FILTER PRESS DEWATERER

Provided is a method and a device for cleaning filter cloths of a filter press dewaterer that do not use acid, which requires wastewater treatment, and that allow regeneration of filter cloths by effectively cleaning the filter cloths while controlling the amount of water used for cleaning. The method is for cleaning filter cloths of a filter press dewaterer, which dewaters slurries containing calcium components by means of water, steam or a mixture thereof. The filter cloths are cleaned by spraying water of 100-140°C temperature and 50-200 kg/cm2 pressure, steam of 100-140°C temperature, or a mixture thereof, on said filter cloth, whereon tension of 10-2000 N/5 cm has been applied.
