PURPOSE: An image display system and method for transmitting and receiving data are provided to perform a stable channel setup operation for the transmission and reception of the image signal. CONSTITUTION: An image display device(200) receives and displays a broadcasting signal from a set-top box(100), and measures the sensitivity of a frequency band that performs data transmission and reception. The image display device receives a control signal received from the set-top box, and transmits the response signal according to the reception of the control signal. The image display device performs a frequency hopping operation or receives a broadcasting signal according to the frequency band sensing measuring results. |
