<p>Prepn. of benzodiazepine derivs of formula (I): (where X = H, hal, NO2 or CF3) by ring-closure in DMSO (II) of a glycylamidobenzophenone deriv. of formula (III): at 20-100 degrees C, using sufficient (II) to dissolve (III). (I) are tranquillizers, muscle-relaxants, anticonvulsants and hypnotics.</p> |
