An adapter is disclosed, which can be connected to the probe tube (2) of a ready installed PEG probe, cut off above the abdominal wall of the patient. Said adapter comprises a retaining member (5), supported by the abdominal wall, means (7) for fixing the proximal end of the PEG probe and means (8) for connecting a delivery tube. Said retaining member (5) is embodied as a separate piece, comprising an opening for the passage of the PEG probe, whilst the means (7, 8) for fixing the PEG probe and for connection of the delivery tub e form an insert piece (6), which may be inserted in the retaining member with a tight fit. Said adapter is characterised in being simple to manipulate and of a construction with a limited height. |
