The joint has flexible circular lips (28, 30) extending from an annular portion (26), where the joint is made of stainless steel. A free end (34) of each lip is spaced from the annular portion, and comprises a support border (36) supporting against opposite surfaces (12, 14) and around bores (16, 18). The lips are driven towards the surfaces under an effect of low pressure fluid for tilting the borders on the surfaces to hold a proximal zone (40) in contact with the surfaces while moving a distal zone (42) and a support edge (38) respectively from the surfaces. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a sealing joint.
