<p>The machines are equipped with constant speed winders i.e., the package is wound against a drum at constant speed. The traversing of the yarn guide is driven separately and as the dia. of the package builds up, the speed of the traverse is adjusted proportionately to maintain the same number of crossings per revolution of the package. This can be done by a rheostat on the arm of the package carrier or by a disc on the package and the motor varied digitally.</p> |
