摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a multibeam light source device which is excellent in secular stability with a simple structure, and to facilitate adjustment of the distance between beam spots. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The multibeam light source device includes a light source part having a plurality of semiconductor lasers 101 and 102, a plurality of collimate lenses 104 and 105 which are provided in pairs with the semiconductor lasers and convert respective light beams into a parallel luminous flux, and a supporting member 103 which integrally supports the plurality of semiconductor lasers and the collimate lenses while arranging the plurality of semiconductor lasers and the collimator lenses in a main scanning direction. The relation D/d>1 is satisfied between the distance D of the semiconductor lasers and the distance d of the collimate lenses, and the light source part is supported so as to be positioned in a rotating direction around an emission axis (a). Accordingly, even when combining conventional semiconductor lasers, the relative positions thereof can be kept against an environmental change to maintain stable optical axis accuracy, and the pitch in a subscanning direction can be also adjusted.
