<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide suitable screen display information to a client terminal even when a relay apparatus, that transfers a packet after rewriting an IP address or a port number, is present between a client and a server. Ž<P>SOLUTION: It is detected whether a connection is made to the Internet 1 via a high-order relay apparatus 5 and if connected to the high-order relay apparatus 5, a transfer setting request is made to the high-order relay apparatus 5. When the transfer setting request is completed, link information of a server under control of a relay apparatus 7 is generated on the basis of setting contents.
