Provided is a small wavelength selection optical switch (301) that enables the focal length of a first lens (30) and a second lens (50) to be reduced to 1/M, and that enables the light path length to be reduced, by placing a light path-adjusting optical component (90) with a magnification factor of M between a second image-forming position (B) and a mirror array (80), and leaving a conventionally used spectral element, fiber array, and mirror array unchanged. In addition, by reducing the light path length, a lower cost can be achieved due to reduction of reflecting mirrors used for light path transformation miniaturization of the housing.
