PURPOSE: A camera module equipped with a variable iris is provided to improve optical performance and production yield and to improve the low illumination feature by increasing the F number. CONSTITUTION: A lens module(10) is equipped within a housing(20). An image sensor forms an open-phase through the lens module. A variable iris apparatus(70) is equipped to the end of the housing. The incident light is joined to the lens module. The variable iris apparatus selectively applies an aperture diameter according to the status of a peripheral. The variable iris apparatus comprises a fixing iris(71) and a variable iris(72). The variable iris has an adjustable opening with a diameter smaller than that of the fixing iris.
