PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a conduct control method for locking and unlocking of a portable terminal are provided to use a facial image as an authentication image by setting a locking function of the portable terminal by using a face recognition technology. CONSTITUTION: A face image of a user recording by a camera is stored as the authentication image. The face of the user records by using the camera in an operation locking state(S400, S405). If the face image of the user recording is determined as the authentication image, the operation locked state is deregulated(S450). The screen in which the operation locked state is deregulated is marked.
