The method comprises gasifying raw material fermentable in a biogas plant under the formation of fermentation substrate (32), gasifying wood, carbon or renewable solid material in a solid gasifier (10) by pyrolysis process, so that the resulting solid gas is supplied to the biogas plant, continuously withdrawing a part of the fermentation substrate from the biogas plant, and supplying the solid gas to the withdrawn fermentation substrate to form a mixture, which is continuously supplied together with the intermittently emerging mixed gas to the biogas plant at normal pressure. The method comprises gasifying raw material fermentable in a biogas plant under the formation of fermentation substrate (32), gasifying wood, carbon or renewable solid material in a solid gasifier (10) by pyrolysis process, so that the resulting solid gas is supplied to the biogas plant, continuously withdrawing a part of the fermentation substrate from the biogas plant, and supplying the solid gas to the withdrawn fermentation substrate to form a mixture, which is continuously supplied together with the intermittently emerging mixed gas to the biogas plant at normal pressure for further gasification. The solid gas is cooled off under the dew point of the pollutants before supplying to the fermentation substrate, and is cooled off or cleaned in a water reservoir (14). The solid gas emerging from the water reservoir is introduced in the interior of the fermentation substrate present in a fermentation substrate reservoir (22) by overpressure, which does not exceed 15 mbar.
