The device has a container (10) for a lubricant, and with a chamber that is separated into a chamber section (16) for fresh lubricant and another chamber section (14) for used lubricant by a movable piston (12). Each of the chamber sections is connected with a lubricant channel that is guided over an antifriction bearing by lines (24, 28). The piston is pre-stressed in the chamber by a spring (18) to reduce the volume of the section (16) for the fresh lubricant and to increase the volume of the section (14) for the used lubricant.
