<p>Embodiments of the present invention provide a process for forming coatings, the process including the steps of: providing a metallic base having an outside metallic surface; depositing a ceramic coating on said outside surface using a micro-arc oxidation process such that one or more additional metallic coatings may be applied to said ceramic coating with a greater adhesion compared to applying said metallic coatings directly on said outside surface.</p> |
