<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film in which generation of a surface defect and thickness unevenness is sufficiently prevented and a method and an apparatus for manufacturing the optical film by melting casting film making method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the optical film in which the optical film is manufactured by discharging a film constituting material containing a molten thermoplastic resin onto a cooling roll in a film shape from the lip portions 41a, 41b of a casting die cooling and solidifying the same, volatile matters vaporized from the molten matter 42 are deposited on the surface of cooling devices 43a, 43b whose surface temperature is held under the boiling point of the volatile matters and recovered, and the optical film manufactured by the method is also disclosed. In the apparatus for manufacturing the optical film in which the optical film is manufactured by discharging the film constituting material containing the molten thermoplastic resin onto the cooling roll in the film shape from the lip portions of the casting die and cooling and solidifying the same, the apparatus includes the cooling devices 43a, 43b whose surface temperature is held under the boiling point of the volatile matters vaporized from the molten matters 42, the volatile matter is deposited on the surface of the cooling devices and recovered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
