<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new illumination device not available in the past, which uses an LED (Light Emitting Diode) for a light source. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the illumination device (10) which uses the LED for the light source, a light emitting device (21) is composed of: the LED (23) which is disposed on a heat dissipation plate (22) formed in a bottom section orthogonal to an illuminated face (11) of the illumination device (10); and a primary lens (24) in a state covering the LED (23), and a straight or slightly bent primary reflecting member (30) which laterally refracts light emitted from the light emitting device (21) is provided above the primary lens (24), thereby a light emitting face shines without causing shading difference, and a function as the illumination device is demonstrated.
