<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle apparatus capable of preventing the derailment of a vehicle and moving the vehicle to a safe location even in an emergency condition where an axle is fractured. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This vehicle apparatus includes a wheel retaining member 20 for retaining a plurality of wheels 12 rolling on a rail 2a, and the axle 10 to which a cylindrical boss part 21 of the wheel retaining member 20 is externally fitted pivotally, and further includes safety means 30, in an emergency condition of the fracture of the axle 10, preventing the falling of an axle distal end part 10A of the fractured axle 10 and the wheel retaining member 20.
