<p>A method of storing metadata comprising information enabling identification of a location of creation of a media object. The method comprises assigning a globally unique identifier to the object; storing the identifier and the object to a memory; submitting the identifier to a database; and submitting the metadata to the database. The database is then interrogable using the identifier to access the metadata and the identifier itself is obtainable from the memory.</p>
