PURPOSE:To ensure the switching with high reliability even to a shift of position or rotation of an optical converting matter with the simple positioning, by giving a linear shift to the optical path converting matter consisting of a prism, etc. CONSTITUTION:The incident light from an optical fiber 1 is converted into parallel beams through a rod lens 4 and made incident to a prism 7. These parallel beams are made incident to a prism 8 through the reflective surfaces 9 and 10. These incident beams are made incident to a rod lens 5 through the reflective surfaces 11 and 12 and then condensed to an optical fiber 2 to be transmitted. In the switching mode, the prism is moved (toward an arrow A) as shown by the dotted lines. Thus the parallel beams sent from the lens 4 are directly made incident to a rod lens 6 with no intervention of the reflective prisms 7 and 8 and condensed to an optical fiber 3 to be transmitted. A reflection preventing film is coated on both the incident and output end faces of the lenses 4-6 and the prisms 7 and 8 respectively. |
