CLEANING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR STRAINER

The present invention concerns a cleaning apparatus and a cleaning method for a strainer. The invention removes foreign material stuck in the outer circumference of a strainer's opening with pressurized gas generated in the explosion of a detonation tube and at the same time, moves the residue away from the strainer. For this purpose, the disclosed cleaning apparatus comprises a pair of circular plates whereof a through-hole is formed in the center; a plurality of round rods connecting the outer circumferences of two circular plates; a detonation tube which is set up in a space surrounded by the circular plates and round rods; a detonator which explodes the detonation tube; and a leading wire which is connected with the detonator. Additionally, the disclosed cleaning method comprises the steps of: preparing a detonation tube with a detonator and connecting a leading wire with the detonator, inserting and placing the detonation tube through the center of the strainer which contains water, exploding the detonator with an explosion signal through the leading wire and exploding the detonation tube at the same time. Therefore, the water is discharged through the strainer's opening and cleans the strainer.
