In this lift shaft door, a door panel (2,3) is composed of a respective fron t wall (4) and rear wall (5), which are connected together by thermally releasable connecting means (6), wherein at least a part of the closing edge of the respective door panel (2, 3) consists of a profile member (7, 8, 14) which is formed by the back wall (5) or thermally non-detachably fastened to this back wall (5). In the case of fire, the back wall (5) separates from the front wall (4) through release of the thermally releasable connecting means, wherein the front wall curves by heat effect whilst the back wall (5) with the closing edge retains the original shape.
