摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily maintain the durability of a power transmitting mechanism in the future, by preventively responding while predicting the decrease in durability in the future. <P>SOLUTION: Based on torques being transferred by a power transmitting mechanism, the frequency of occurrences of every torque is integrated. The frequency of occurrences of every torque is converted to the frequency of occurrences corresponding to that at the time of covering the guaranteed travel distance to attain in the future (S106). Based on the conversion, a summarized torque, corresponding to the damage value upon the coverage, is further calculated (S108). If the summarized torque is greater than the fatigue limit torque Ts (YES at S110), the upper limit torque Tlim is lowered (S112). Thus, while predicting the future decrease of durability, before the durability decreases in a power transmitting mechanism, particularly in a vehicle transfer occurs, the torque, being a load of the transfer, is controlled to thoroughly protect the transfer and to extend the durability.
