<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to restack a plurality of articles so that labels are easily visible from a substantially fixed direction even when the articles are arranged in a target restack in their required placing positions in a restacking section. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The labelling equipment is provided with a conveying apparatus for placing and conveying articles, via a labeling section, to the restacking section where they are arranged into a target restack, and a labelling means 9 for labelling each placed and conveyed article in the labelling section. The labelling equipment is provided with a size information acquiring means 7 for acquiring the size information of each article formed in a rectangular parallelepiped, and a controlling means 10 for controlling the operation of the labelling means so that when it is assumed that articles are placed in a target restack in their placing positions selected from a plurality of placing positions according to the article size information, a visible side of the six sides of the article is assigned as a side to be labelled, and a label is affixed to this side.
