<p>Disclosed is a battery, wherein the battery is comprised of a battery case with a bottom, a sidewall, and a top opening; an electrode group; an electrolyte; and an opening sealing plate which covers the top opening of the battery case housing the electrode group and the electrolyte. The electrode group includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator placed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. A gasket is placed between the opening of the battery case and the opening sealing plate. A first high-resistance layer is placed between the opening of the battery case and the gasket, or a second high-resistance layer is placed between the opening sealing plate and the gasket. Thus, in the rare event that the gasket is damaged, a short circuit between the battery case and the opening sealing plate can be prevented.</p> |
