<p>PURPOSE:To use absorption liquid of CO stably by circulating it, by maintaining the quantity of supply of toluene within certain range in an apparatus for separating and concentrating CO using absorption liquid CO containing cuprous chloride, tris (dimethylamino) phosphine oxide, and toluene. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus wherein gas containing CO is treated and CO of high purity is recovered using cuprous chloride (CuCl), tris (dimethylamino) phosphine oxide (hmpa), and toluene; when toluene recovered from the gas is returned again to an absorption tower 3 and/or a stripper 9, the quantity of toluene is made under predetermined value for absorption liquid, i.e., under X represented by an equation I. As a result, absorption liquid can be used by circulating it stably for a long period of time without the precipitation of cuprous chloride as a component of the absorption liquid.</p> |
