The method involves extracting a part of atmosphere from an interior as sample gas and supplying it to a measuring chamber (1). The pressure of the conducted gas is determined in the measuring chamber. The measuring chamber is closed and cooled for partial condensing of steam of the gas. The pressure of the gas remained in the measuring chamber is measured. The humidity of the gas is determined in the interior from the measurements of the pressure. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a condensation pressure chamber; and (2) a cooking device with a cooking chamber.
