<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive array antenna apparatus capable of alleviating the operation amount of adaptive beam forming processing, when an array antenna of a large aperture surface is used. <P>SOLUTION: Each of the adaptive array antenna apparatus is associated with and arranged for each sub-array SA<SB>1</SB>-SA<SB>K</SB>. Each of the adaptive array antenna apparatus comprises a plurality of sub-array beam forming portions and a total array beam forming portion. The sub-array beam forming portions applies digital beam forming processing to all of the signals received respectively by each element antenna constituting the sub-arrays, and computes a complex signal for each sub-array. The total array beam forming portion applies digital beam forming processing to all of the complex signals, computed respectively from the plurality of sub-array beam forming portions, and computes a complex signal as an array antenna. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
