<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an O/W-type skin care preparation having excellent aging stability of stringiness, good compatibility and spreadability to the skin and free from stickiness in semi-dried state. <P>SOLUTION: The skin care preparation is produced by compounding (a) 0.01-3.0 mass% polyacrylic acid or its metal salt, (b) 0.01-1.0 mass% alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer and (c) 1.0-10.0 mass% polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 1,000-50,000.
