<p>A breathing system (1;28;34) for a reservoir (15) containing liquid and/or gaseous compounds comprises a housing (2) having a lower section (3) for communicating with the reservoir (15), a top section (5) for communication with the ambient atmosphere, a centre section (4) arranged between the lower section (3) and the top section (5), and a flame arrester unit (16) arranged inside the housing (2). The breathing system (1;28) has an adsorber means or an absorber means (18) for liquid and/or gaseous compounds arranged on top of or above the flame arrester unit (16) opposite the lower section (3). The breathing system (1;28) is particular advantageously for use on heavy fuel oil storage tanks with fixed roof from which smelly gasses emits.</p> |
