<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing spherical titanium based powder high in fluidity by suppressing the progress of powder sintering upon the dehydrogenation of a hydrogen-containing titanium based powder with respect to the titanium based powder to be utilized as raw material powder for metal powder injection molding and powder sintering or thermal spraying raw material and powder for shot blasting. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for producing spherical titanium based powder where hydrogen-containing titanium based powder is passed through RF heat plasma flame, is subjected to spheroidizing treatment, and is thereafter subjected to dehydrogenation treatment.
