<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission and reception system which suitably and rapidly informs a user that a connection between a transmission device and a reception device can be broken when the user wants to view the rest of a video based upon stream data that the reception device receives from the transmission device. <P>SOLUTION: A DV camera 100 transmits the total amount of video data to a TV 101, transmits the stream data associated with the video data from the head of the video data, and further transmits a file associated with the video data from the end of the video data. The TV 101 stores the file received from the DV camera 100. Then the TV 101 informs the user that the connection between the DC camera 100 and TV 101 can be broken when the total of amounts of the stored file and video data included in the stream data received from the DV camera 100 so far reaches the total data amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
