FIELD: cleaning water from mechanical impurities in pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: straining element fitted in high-pressure pipe line is made in form of grate assembled from strips of similar thickness fastened together with over-lapping ends forming slotted holes; length and width of strips are so selected that frequency of natural oscillations of strips exceeds maximum exciting frequency of oscillations of water flow in pipe line.
