<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium that can safely be incinerated without generating harmful substances during its incineration in spite of its flame retardancy while maintaining common characteristics of a filter such as a low pressure drop across an air filter, dust collection efficiency, and strength. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The filter medium includes at least two kinds of polyolefinic sheets thermally bonded to each other, with at least one kind of the sheet members comprising a non-halogen flame retardant in a ratio of 1.0 to 3.0 weight%, the flame retardant of which is a mixture of N-alkoxy-hindered-amine compound and a phosphazene compound.
