<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening/closing timing control device certainly restricting the relative rotational phase of a driven rotating member with respect to a driving rotating member rotating in synchronism with the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This valve opening/closing timing control device includes: a phase displacement restricting mechanism for creating a restricting state that the relative rotational phase displacement of the driven rotating member 3 with respect to the driving rotating member 2 is restricted and an unrestricting state that restriction is released; a restriction passage 65 allowing the phase displacement restricting mechanism to communicate with a retarded angle chamber 42; a valve element chamber 9 constituting a part of the restricting passage 65; and a valve element 92 arranged in the valve element chamber 9 and selectively positioned to a first state for closing communication between the retarded angle chamber 42 and the restricting passage 65 to render the phase displacement restricting mechanism into the restricting state and a second state for allowing communication therebetween to render the phase displacement restricting mechanism into the unrestricting state. A projecting portion 92b closing the communication between the retarded angle chamber 42 and the restricting passage 65 while forming the wall of the restricting passage 65 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the valve element 92, and a leak passage A leaking fluid from the retarded angle chamber 42 to the outside in the first state extends over the valve element chamber 9 and valve element 92.
