<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus that is resistive to interference and assures high communication quality. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control device and a controlled device of a cordless telephone set performs time division multiplex communications by selectively switching a channel of frequency band among a plurality of frequency bands. This communication is capable of sustaining high quality environment resistive to interference by measuring receiving electric field strengths of all channels of the plurality of frequency bands, separately storing the receiving electric field strength of each frequency band, in addition, selecting, when switching to the other channel slot from the communication channel slot is determined to be necessary because communication environment becomes poor, the channel of the switching object based on the receiving electric field strength data, and switching the channel based on the selected channel slot.
