摘要 A safety valve apparatus (400, fig 6) comprises a housing 402 with a bore and a projection 470 in the bore. A flapper 490 rotatably disposed on the housing is movable relative to the bore between opened and closed positions, and a packing element 420 disposed on the housing is compressible to engage an inner conduit wall surrounding the housing. An upper sleeve 440 disposed within the bore above the projection is hydraulically movable from a first position to a second position via the hydraulic communication with a port 472 in the projection. The first sleeve when moved to the second position compresses the packing element. A piston 482 disposed in the housing hydraulically communicates with the port and couples to a second sleeve 480 disposed within the bore below the projection. The second sleeve conceals the piston and is hydraulically movable via the hydraulic communication of the port with the piston to open and close the flapper. The fluid may be coupled to the solitary port using a capillary string 404. A method of deploying a safety valve in a well comprises the step of tapping a first cross port in the well head and aligning a side port on the capillary hanger with the cross port.
